Our HiVol® Water Tank comes equipped with an in-cab controlled water cannon that allows the dispersement of water from 150 to 200 feet with absolute control and accuracy. Long-wearing, specialized spray heads are rear-mounted and operate independently so you can run one, all, or any number in between to meet your needs. The entire tank plumbing system utilizes off-the-shelf Victaulic®/Gruvolk® style fittings throughout for easy maintenance. And you get the best value for dust control by building on a new or used chassis. Osco trucks are engineered for quality, durability, and performance and are also constructed to handle all types of terrain. Water pump, hydraulic motor, reservoir, relief valve, and rear spray bar are pre-mounted on the rear deck.
After the prescribed burn is completed, a water truck will spray the perimeter of the cell to extinguish any smoldering flames. Water quality will be monitored and confirmed acceptable before the release of water from the cell to the Tres Rios Overbank Wetlands. That will include allowing sufficient time for any fire debris to settle out and completion of a water quality sampling plan.
